2020 Winter Programs

December 26 - 31: 2020 LIFC Winter Camp

Coaches:

  • Michael Aufrichtig - Columbia University Head Fencing Coach; during his nine years, the Columbia fencing won the 2015, 2016, and 2019 NCAA Championships as well as winning the Men Ivy League Championships (2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019) and Women Ivy League Championships (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020).  He is also the recipient of the 2016 USA Fencing Coaches Varsity Coach of the Year Award.

  • Alex Abend - LIFC Head Coach; Epee coach at New York Athletic Cub; His students were National and Junior Olympic champions, as will as US Cadet, Junior and Senior Olympic team members.

  • Ivan Lee - LIFC Sabre Coach; 4-Time World Championship; 5-Time Individual US National Championship; 2-Time NCAA Individual Championship; Former US-Olympian.

  • Special Guest Coach: Akhnaten Spencer-El - Columbia University Fencing Team Sabre Coach; coached Sabre team since 2013.  Akhnaten Spencer-El is a three-time U.S. Junior Sabre National Champion, a two-time Senior National Sabre Champion (1999, 2000).   He represented the United States in the 2000 Olympics and served as the United States Women's National Team Saber Coach for the 2011 Pan-American Games and served as a coach for the United States in the 2016 Olympics in Rio.

Dates:

  • Epee: Saturday December 26 through Wednesday December 30, 2020

  • Sabre: Sunday December 27 through Thursday December 31, 2020

Class Structure:

  • 10:30am to 5:30pm; 1:30PM-2:30PM Break/Lunch

  • Lunch Included

  • Space Limited
