Membership Dues - All members are required to have a yearly LIFC membership – Membership fee
determined according to fencer’s age category. Annual membership is in effect one (1) year from
purchase date. Membership is non-refundable.
USFA Membership and Club Affiliation - All LIFC members must have a valid USFA membership
with LIFC- Long Island Fencing Center as their primary club. Any fencer without a current
membership will not be permitted to participate in classes or lessons. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Payment for Group Classes and Private Lessons - Group classes and Private Lessons must be
purchased in advance according to contract period. LIFC will charge via Mindbody autopay system
at the beginning of every new cycle. A valid credit card must be attached to the member’s account
regardless of payment method.
Cancellation of Private Lessons - Cancellation of a Private Lesson must be made 24 hours prior to
the appointment time. Failure to do so will result in a full charge for the missed lesson. To receive full
credit for a lesson canceled within the 24 hour period, the member must present a doctor’s note.
Parents Conduct During Class or Lessons - Parents must ask the coach if they wish to speak with
their child during class. Parents are not allowed to walk in the fencing area, coach their child or
interfere with class or lesson unless specifically asked by LIFC staff to do so.
Coaching at Tournaments - Members are prohibited from hiring coaches from clubs other than LIFC
for any tournaments.
Permission to Practice Outside of LIFC - Participation in practices outside of LIFC must be
permitted by LIFC coaches. Attending outside practices without permission can result in dismissal by
LIFC without any refund.
Lateness for Lessons policy - If the student is late for their scheduled lesson time, the time will be
deducted from the lesson (ex. If you are 10mins late, your 20min lesson will then be 10mins in
duration).

Refund Policies
No refunds on expired lessons or classes.

No refunds once a cycle is charged... to avoid being charged for a cycle, you must notify LIFC
Admin. by email.(7 days prior to the start of the cycle).
Purchased lessons and classes are non-transferable to credit for other services.
A $30 fee will be charged for all checks returned by a financial institution. Repayment shall be
required to be made by cash or cashier’s check.
Refund within 72 hours of purchase: 10% service charge as Administrative Fee.
